Surfs Up

Hey, the word is that the waves are going to be huge this weekend. The surf sites are saying 18-23' here in San Diego and up to 53' in Central Cal. The last time the waves were big here was December 5, 2007 and Ryan and I caught some huge waves at La Jolla cove. I surfed with all my bros, Mike, Danny, Kieth and Daren and our buddies watched us from the cliff and hooted when we took off. This is a shot of Ryan and I each dropping in on some fun ones. Ryan is on riding my 9.0 Gun. He paddled out after school and just started charging the waves and caught 8-10 waves in an hour until the leash broke. He was fearless and made his old man proud. I was in the water all dayfrom 6:10 am till 5:45pm, broke 3 leashes, but never lost my board into the cliffs. I love it when the waves are big!

Here a video shot of us going out and Ryan's buddy Alex getting the first Macker of the day. watch me as a misread the surf and get smashed onto the rocks on my way out. What an idiot.

Mountain Board Sports sponsors The PUSH

Hey, I am stoked that MBS Mountain Boards is sending Ryan and I a couple of demo boards to try out over the next month and a half. Can’t wait to get on them! We have never ridden these before so I am sure we will have some scrapes and bruises before we are done. We will try on the asphalt roads first to get the feel then move into the dirt.

Lets get it started!

Hey there, my name is Bob Krause and my 17 year old son Ryan and I are from San Diego California and we are going to try something that we believe has never been done before. In April 2008 we are going to attempt doing 25 extreme sports back to back all across Southern California in less than 18 hours.

This includes extreme sports in the Ocean (SURF), On Flat water (WAKE), in the Air (AIR), at the Desert (SAND), down the Mountains (DOWNHILL) and in the Snow (SNOW).We are calling it The Push, because somehow, someway, we are going to PUSH all these sports into one single day event and try not to get hurt along the way.

We are both into sports and spend a lot of time Surfing but our love for other sports has created a mental challenge to see how many sports we can cram into one day and do them all with some level of competence. Over the next few months we will update this blog and post our updates as we practice the various sports we will be doing, and sharing our story of the pains, cuts, bruises and successes we have along the way.

We have a lot of friends who are supporting us in this crazy endeavor and we want to thank them for believing in us and supporting us along the way. This is definitely going to be one fun ride!
